“Somatic Experiencing offers a new and helpful perspective on trauma.
It views the human animal as a unique being endowed with an instinctual capacity to heal, as well as the instinctual spirit to harness that innate capacity.”

OPEN SE CASE CONSULT GROUPS
These groups are for all SE students regardless of scope/modality. The groups are an opportunity for those who are seeing clients to share cases and receive feedback, and for those working in other modalities to talk about their use of SE in their professional environments; for example, medical and educational settings. It is also fine to attend to listen to others present.
Each Open SE consult group meets for 3 hours, and attendance earns 1 faculty credit toward the SEP certificate. After registering you can let me know if you’d like to present a case, ask a question, or ask for a review of a particular area of your SE coursework. You can also attend to listen to others present.
These groups are single events, and the fee for participation is $103.50 for each group payable by PayPal.

SMALL GROUP SE CASE CONSULTS
Small group case consult is for people who are currently seeing clients, and provides the opportunity to present cases and receive feedback in integrating SE concepts into your current work, as well as to hear your colleagues’ cases. You must have a current practice where you see clients, be licensed or certified in your professional modality, or in an educational setting that provides primary supervision. Group consultation is not suitable for primary supervision for students, but rather is support for clinicians to integrate somatic experiencing techniques into their current practice.
Several Zoom Case Consultation Small Groups have openings. These groups meet monthly for 1 and 1/2 hours, and are limited to 6 to 8 members. Attendance earns 1/2 faculty credit per group. Please email me to let me know if you are interested in joining a group, along with the day/time of the group, your licensure/primary modality and your current SE training level.
Beginning Zoom Group meets on Wednesdays from 12:30 pm EST to 2pm EST once monthly
Intermediate/Advanced Zoom Group meets on Wednesdays from 12:30 pm EST to 2pm EST on the 2nd Wednesday of the month
Advanced/Post Advanced Zoom Group meets Thursdays 2:00 pm EST to 3:30 pm EST on the 2nd Thursday of the month
Mixed Post Advanced/Assistants Group meets Wednesdays from 12:30 pm EST to 2:00 pm EST on the 4th Wednesday of the month
Terms of Participation for SE Small Group Case Consults: Small groups meet monthly, and are limited to 6 to 8 members. Members join a group, and meet monthly. Members pay $100/session for groups of 6 or more, with higher rates for smaller groups, and are responsible for payment whether they attend live or not. If a group that meets via Zoom is missed, a recording of the group is usually available. You receive 1/2 Faculty credit for each group you attend live. You can end your participation by giving 1 month advance notice.

“Traumatic symptoms are not caused by the event itself. They arise when residual energy from the experience is not discharged from the body. This energy remains trapped in the nervous system, where it can wreak havoc on our bodies and minds.”
